An arts revitalization committee planning its first “Arts Mosey” calls for participants to sign up to participate. Residents and businesses on Barre Street are invited to use porches, driveways, or other spaces to present all kinds of art. The rest of the street is open to all artists.

About the event
Community spirit seems to be flourishing lately in the capital city: The 2023 and 2024 floods made communication and support for neighbors essential in times of emergency, and residents have come together to create a sense of community throughout the city, beginning with neighborhoods.
Montpelier has recently set up “Neighbor Net” to connect neighbors, but an increased neighborhood focus on the arts is bubbling up, too, beginning with Barre Street on Sunday, Oct. 19.
